This is a quick rundown on one use of Fiore's 2nd remedy in it's most basic form using a longsword. The footwork, although not shown, is an acressere forward so that the grip on the sword arm is set in the defender's time and not the attacker's. The back foot needs to move sideways just enough to maintain the line of balance.
